How we look after the information you give us.

Who we are

Tallulahs Bistro is a cafe and bistro at 200-202 Swan Avenue, Eldwick, Bingley, West Yorkshire BD16 3PA, run by Tallulahs Bistro Ltd.

Tallulahs Bistro Ltd is the data controller for the information described here, which means we are the ones responsible for it. That covers the personal information collected through this website and through the bookings we take.

If you have a question about any of this, call us on 01274 560044 or email tallulahsbistro@gmail.com.

What we collect

We keep this simple, and we collect as little as we can.

  • If you email us, we hold your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message.
  • If you call to book a table or an event, we take your name, a contact number and the details of the booking, such as the date, the number of people and anything we need to know about allergies.
  • If you visit this website, our hosting company records basic technical information, including your IP address, your browser type and the pages you looked at. This is standard for any website and it keeps the site running and secure.

We do not run advertising trackers on this site, and we do not sell your information to anyone.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file that a website stores on your device. This site uses only the cookies it needs in order to work properly, such as the ones that help pages load quickly.

Our contact page includes a map from Google. When that map loads, Google may set its own cookies on your device and receive your IP address. That is Google handling your information rather than us, and it is covered by Google’s own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, parts of the site may not work as you expect.

Why we use your information

We use it to reply to your enquiry, to hold and manage your booking, to tell you about anything that affects your booking, and to keep the website running safely.

Under UK data protection law we do this either because it is necessary in order to provide the service you have asked for, or because we have a legitimate interest in running the cafe properly. Where we need your consent, such as for marketing emails, we will ask for it first, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the companies that help us run the business:

  • our website host, which stores the site and its logs
  • our email provider, which handles messages sent to us
  • Google, where a page on the site includes a map

We do not pass your details to anyone else unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Booking details are kept for as long as we need them to manage the booking and our own records, and are then deleted. Emails are kept for as long as they are useful, and are then deleted. Website logs are held by our host for a short period.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, stop using it in a particular way, or send it on to someone else. Call or email and we will sort it out.

If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or call them on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
